Pharmaceutical Assessor (8 vacancies)
We have eight exciting opportunities to join the MHRA as a Pharmaceutical Assessor, based across the product lifecycle assessment teams within our Licensing division. Our Pharmaceutical Assessors assess the quality aspects of both initial and variation applications for marketing authorisations for medicinal products and take decisions on their suitability for approval.
The work that our Pharmaceutical Assessors do is incredibly unique and interesting. Your working day could consist of anything from assessing an application for a new active substance, a novel dosage form, or a generic medicine, to providing scientific advice to companies around pharmaceutical/regulatory issues for development of new drug products. A comprehensive training programme is in place to support and develop suitable candidates new to this role.
Ideally you will have previous experience in one or more of regulatory affairs, research and development, or manufacture or quality control of medicinal products within academia, the pharmaceutical industry or hospital pharmacy. You will have keen attention to detail, a proven ability to apply critical thinking to complex and/or ill-defined problems and excellent communication skills.
The successful candidate will have a degree in Pharmacy or equivalent, and be registered with the UK GPhC (or be eligible to be registered with the GPhC through an equivalent registration body for pharmacists in another EU country).
