UCL School of Pharmacy - Research Department of Practice and Policy 

The appointment will be full time on UCL Grade 7. The salary range will be £34,056 - £41,163 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.

The UCL School of Pharmacy is a leading international centre of pharmacy education and research. In particular, the School has a long standing tradition of engagement with and promotion of professional development, both within the UK and overseas, with an established network of national and international partnerships aimed at the promotion of patient care via excellence in education. Within the School of Pharmacy, the Research Department of Policy and Practice consists of a diverse group of pharmacists, psychologists and social science researchers with a wide network of associations with other academic and clinical disciplines and institutions in the UK and abroad.   

Staff are involved in curriculum development and teaching across all four years of the MPharm course. The post holder will provide technical support to the pharmacy practice teaching team to ensure the delivery of workshops, dispensing practicals and practical exams. They will be involved in ensuring all materials are ready before sessions run and for supporting student learning within classes i.e. assisting students with the use of basic dispensing labelling software. An experienced pharmacy technician is required who has worked in the community or a hospital pharmacy environment,  and who has excellent skills in providing dispensing services to patients. Ideally this person should also have had some experience in the training and development of others in the pharmacy department. They will need excellent oral and written  communication skills and be able to work both independently and with others to provide the best educational environment for our students.
