RPS Local Coordinators
Contract type: Sessional fixed one year agreement (not employee contract)
Location: Home based to cover all local health board areas and remote and rural locations in Scotland and Wales.
The Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) is the professional body for pharmacists and pharmacy in England, Scotland and Wales. We advance the profession of pharmacy for public and patient benefit to secure the future of the profession and our members.
RPS is changing its local engagement model in Scotland and Wales and replacing the regional local practice forums with RPS local aligned to NHS Boards and creating several new funded roles as RPS Local Coordinators to join our country teams.
The RPS Local Coordinator’s role includes;
- Working with the RPS team and local members to coordinate the delivery of RPS and local hot topic professional practice development events.
- Developing RPS Locals as the focus for innovation, inter and intra-professional practice development, quality in practice and research.
- Supporting the development of RPS Locals as an opportunity for networking, mentoring and engagement in RPS professional programmes.
The ideal candidate will be a pharmacist and member of the RPS with excellent communication skills, knowledge of local stakeholders and have a passion for developing pharmacy practice. The posts are suitable for early year pharmacists.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with the dynamic teams in the Scottish and Welsh Directorates.
