Recently Registered Pharmacist Members of the Accreditation and Recognition Panel

The General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) wishes to appoint six recently-registered pharmacist members to its Accreditation and Recognition Panel. We set the education and training standards for pharmacy professionals to ensure they develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours they need to provide the safe and effective care patients and the public expect.

Successful candidates will need to meet all the essential criteria set out in the role specification. In particular, we will be looking for candidates with the following experience:

  • Pharmacist, eligible to practise in the UK
  • Recent graduate of a Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) degree or Overseas’ Pharmacists Assessment Programme (OSPAP)
  • Currently in pharmacist pre‐registration training and expecting to enter the register of pharmacists in the current year, or joined the register of pharmacists in the last two years.

The appointment will be for four years in the first instance. The position is remunerated and the members will be expected to devote up to 9-10 days on average to the role each year.
