Head Quarters Defence Primary Healthcare (HQ DPHC) is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic senior Pharmacist to provide specialist professional direction, advice and leadership on all matters pertaining to Medicines Management, prescribing and pharmaceutical issues within DPHC. DPHC is a vibrant and fast moving organisation that aims to deliver the very best primary and occupational health care services across the UK and overseas to the military and entitled population.

The Post Holder will be responsible for the development and co-ordination of Medicine Management activities within DPHC Regions which in turn support a Medicines Management framework that delivers a high quality pharmaceutical service that is compliant with UK legislation, safe, cost effective and efficient.

The Post Holder will be required to facilitate good working relationships across a wide range of audiences including clinicians, other specialists e.g. the Defence Public Health Unit, supply chains, Regional Clinical Directors and external organisations e.g. the NHS. You will need to be flexible, able to respond to the changing needs of DPHC and to work under pressure with a high degree of autonomy. The applicant must be a qualified pharmacist registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council, holding an MPharm degree (or equivalent) and must have a post-graduate diploma or higher degree in clinical pharmacy. This is a full time, permanent position based at DMS Whittington with some opportunity to work from other locations. Candidates must be willing and able to travel within the UK and possibly overseas.
