We do many services including methadone dispensing (but limited number of patients), minor ailments, MDS dispensing.
We have very close links with a couple of large GP practices- providing much drug information to junior doctors.
The students are enrolled on the Propharmace pre-registration training course, which includes first aid certification.
The students are exposed to 6 different regular Pharmacists with distinctively different ways of working- this is invaluable experience in the Pre Reg year.
Overall, we have successfully tutored over 35 students over the past 20 years and all were very happy with their training and experience with us. Prospective students can feel free to talk confidently to our existing students to explore the training.
The salary is £17,000 plus and students are expected to work 40 hours a week, with an hour lunch break and two 15 min tea-breaks daily.
