This post represents an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to join a team of staff in Keele University’s Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences. The Faculty is responsible for providing a range of clinical professional degree programmes in the Schools of Medicine, Pharmacy, Health and Rehabilitation, and Nursing & Midwifery, including the MPharm programme in the School of Pharmacy.

We are looking to appoint a Pharmacist to join our dynamic and creative team who deliver the Keele MPharm programme, which is an integrated and fully contextualized course designed to enable our students to apply an evidence-based and patient-centred approach to practice. Within the School we are also creating a vibrant research environment and are keen to support research and scholarly activity.  We have strong links to the NHS both in the community and secondary care, including with the local University Hospital, and a strong and developing interest with the Pharmaceutical Industry.

The School wishes to appoint an experienced pharmacist who can contribute to the teaching of the elements of the MPharm programme that relate to pharmacy practice, including clinical pharmacy and therapeutics, to pharmacy students at all levels of the undergraduate course. This is a key role in providing academic teaching and scholarship input to the continuing development, organisation and delivery of teaching and student support of the professional elements (e.g. pharmacy practice, clinical pharmacy) of the School of Pharmacy’s MPharm programme. The post-holder may also contribute to some of the activities of the Centre for Professional Development and Lifelong Learning that provides postgraduate and CPD programmes and courses from within the School, and conduct scholarly activity in areas that are relevant to pharmacy practice, pharmacy professional development and education.
