Location: Flexible (Homebased / London / Devon)

The Role:

We’re seeking a methodical and pragmatic Healthcare Compliance Specialist to act as our industry Code of Practice expert, ensuring all our marketing materials and interactions with healthcare professionals remain compliant and best practice at all times. With a sound understanding of the industry Codes of Practice (e.g. ABPI) and our company policies and procedures, you’ll carefully review our marketing materials (using our digital approval system) to ensure their compliance and that all claims can be substantiated with appropriate research papers and information. Working closely with the Marketing and Commercial teams, you’ll support reviews to meet our product launch dates and promotional campaign activities, and proactively notify teams of industry updates that could require a pause in activity whilst materials are reconsidered for compliance. To ensure our sales team’s compliance with industry guidelines, you’ll accompany regular professional visits and monitor calls, assessing individuals’ performance (including pharmacovigilance reporting) and providing feedback to drive continuous improvement. Acting as the Disclosure expert for the company, you’ll work closely with relevant healthcare professionals and the broader Commercial team to ensure all transfers of values comply with best practice, are appropriately contracted and accurately recorded and disclosed to meet our industry requirements. In addition, you’ll support colleagues and cross-functional projects to provide advice and interpretation of relevant industry codes, as required.

The Person:

With experience in a similar healthcare compliance role within the pharmaceutical industry, you’ll have a thorough understanding of the relevant industry Codes of Practice (e.g. ABPI), a pharmacy or life science degree and ideally have experience of signatory responsibilities. Qualification in the ABPI code (Diploma in the Promotion of Prescription Medicines) would be beneficial. With good computer skills (including Microsoft Office), you’ll have experience using online/ digital approval systems, such as Zinc Maps. You’re well organised, able to manage your workload to meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities. Known for your sound judgement, you take a considered approach to analysing information and can draw clear meaning from conflicting or ambiguous sources to reach well-reasoned decisions and creative solutions within set parameters. With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you build good working relationships at all levels with ease, but know how to influence and negotiate to uphold boundaries in a persuasive manner. You exercise diplomacy at all times, remaining approachable and open to questions, and happy to coach and support colleagues to improve performance.
