Clinical Pharmacist - General Practice
OxFed is a dynamic GP federation of 20 GP practices in Oxford City. We are establishing a new team of Clinical Pharmacists to work in general practice settings across this exciting and historic city. We believe these roles will contribute to developing Primary Care at both practice and neighbourhood level, benefiting patients and improving quality of care and access. OxFed sees the implementation of the Pharmacists in General Practice Programme as a significant next step in the development of primary care in the city.
Supported by the NHS England Clinical Pharmacists for General Practice 2nd wave pilot, the team will be led by a Senior Clinical Pharmacist and will deliver clinical pharmacy support to a diverse patient caseload.
The primary responsibilities of the post-holders will be:
- Supporting general practice teams by working with patients and the wider primary care workforce within local practices and neighbourhoods.
- Delivering care to patients in General Practice and supporting the long term transformation of the primary and community workforce.
This is a high profile initiative with significant support from NHSE, including supplementary training opportunities, clinical supervision/mentoring and protected learning time.
We welcome applicants from all pharmacy backgrounds who have a broad baseline of clinical pharmacy knowledge (independent prescribing qualification would be desirable) and are looking for a new and exciting challenge to develop their careers.
If you are flexible, dedicated and put patients at the heart of everything you do this could be the opportunity you have been waiting for.
For further information please contact, Sheree Martin, Head of Operations.
The post will initially be fixed term for a period of 3 years. The employer will either be OxFed Health & Care Ltd. or one of its member practices.
Closing date for applications is 6pm 18th October 2017 and interviews will take place on 27th October 2017.
