This post represents an exciting and unique opportunity for an ambitious and experienced Pharmacist to join our dynamic and creative team who deliver our postgraduate programmes and CPD courses through distance learning within the School’s Centre for Professional Development and Lifelong Learning (CPD4ALL), a Centre of Excellence in the School of Pharmacy. The School has strong links to the NHS both in the community and secondary care, including with the local University Hospital. We have contracts to provide postgraduate awards to two major community pharmacy organisations. There is currently a plethora of opportunities for developing Postgraduate pharmacy education and the School of Pharmacy is well placed to make the most of these opportunities.

We are looking to appoint a pharmacist who has outstanding leadership skills who can lead the strategic development and delivery of postgraduate education to the pharmacy profession. A highly skilled communicator, you will be persuasive and influence outcomes in order to grow the business, both nationally and internationally, and maintain CPD4ALL’s position as a leader in postgraduate education. You will ensure human and financial resources are correctly managed to ensure effective management and financial viability of CPD4ALL to ensure that Keele continues to lead in pharmacy postgraduate education. This will include the delivery of both credit and non-credit bearing courses.

In addition to your teaching role you will provide strategic leadership for the development of a research agenda for CPD4ALL, promoting the DPharm course and contributing to both the School and University research portfolio.

As a highly skilled communicator it is expected that you will have or be able to develop relationships with the pharmacy professional and regulatory bodies and that you will develop effective networks including with Health Education England, NHS England, Higher Education Institutions, employers, providers of pharmacy services and other key stakeholders across the health and social care system.

You will be a registered pharmacist and hold a doctorate degree in a relevant subject. You will have experience of leading a professional team and transforming services. Experience in delivering by distance learning, relevant professional practice and experience of teaching and/or supporting the professional development of others, particularly at Postgraduate level is important. There will also be opportunity for enabling key bridges to be reinforced between the undergraduate provision at Keele and the Post graduate.
