The Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) is the professional body for pharmacists and pharmacy in England, Scotland and Wales.  We have an exciting career opportunity for a passionate, enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join our team to support the delivery of the RPS research support services and activities. The post holder will lead and support the profession in achieving the highest possible levels of evidence-based practice and will support the delivery of high quality professional development and recognition schemes for members. The post holder will be accountable for the delivery of research and evaluation infrastructure and activities across the organisation. They will lead and support the development of appropriate skills to put research at the heart of the pharmacy profession.

In doing so the post holder will enable the organisation to realise its strategy and to:

•             Fully support the education and development of the profession.

•             Drive and support research and innovation in medicines and healthcare.

The candidate will be a PhD qualified pharmacist or pharmaceutical scientist. We will require post qualification experience in a research position in the pharmaceutical and/or biotechnological industry, hospital, government, academia or community, with proven record of achievement. Alongside this, we require a broad appreciation of all aspects of pharmacy research and application to all sectors of the profession. Pharmacist preferred, Member of the RPS essential and member of the RPS Faculty preferred.

The role will be primarily based in the London office. We have flexibility in appointing a leader to the role up to 0.6wte and welcome applications for colleagues looking for a flexible way of working.
