The Pharmacy service at the National Waiting Times Centre, National Health Board, provides a 24 hour pharmaceutical service which includes clinical pharmacy, dispensary, aseptic, procurement and distribution.
As the Board’s Chief Pharmacist you will lead the medicines optimisation strategy supporting patients and other healthcare professionals to get the best outcome from medicines and the best value from the medicines investment budget. The post holder will support the Board’s vision of being a “leader in quality, research and innovation”.
You will be supported by a dedicated pharmacy team and senior medical and nursing staff. As Head of Profession and a senior clinical leader, you will be expected to contribute to the development of integrated services and provide assurance that the Board’s medicines are used and stored safely and efficiently.
The applicant will hold a Masters of Pharmacy Degree or equivalent and be a practising member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Council of Great Britain.
