The successful candidate will develop and deliver innovative teaching and assessment in pharmaceutical sciences. They will contribute to the development of new courses and they will undertake the necessary administrative duties associated with the requirements of the post.

The successful candidate must have:

•  An Honours degree or equivalent (2:1 or higher) in Pharmacy or related subject

•  A PhD in a relevant subject

•  Experience, achievement and growing reputation in the discipline, reflected in involvement in local/national educational events.

•  Evidence of scholarly activity e.g. conference paper presentations, external funding secured, book reviews published, writing practice manuals, publication of professional materials.

•  A minimum of 2 years’ experience of teaching in an academic environment in the field of pharmaceutical sciences/biotechnology or closely related area

•  Experience of developing postgraduate courses.

•  Ability to design course materials and to plan and organise the delivery and assessment of taught courses in own specialism

Salary scale:   £39,992 - £49,149 per annum (potential to progress to £52,132 per annum through sustained exceptional contribution)
