The primary purpose of the role is to provide a safe delivery of oncology services within GenesisCare by working together with Pharmacists and lead Pharmacist, and perform medicine reconciliation and top-up service

You would be responsible for participating in the provision of a safe, efficient and accurate dispensing service including oral chemotherapy. Providing simple drug information to customers and refer enquiries appropriately. Issuing dispensed items to patients and provide appropriate and relevant advice to patients or carers to facilitate safe and effective medicines use by patients. Providing an efficient medicines top-up service to allocated departments and chemo suite. Contributing actively to stock reviews to enable cost effective stock holding. Facilitating good medicines management including stock rotation, removal of excess and   expired stock including emergency drugs and reviews of medicine usage with lead pharmacist.  Contributing to procurement activities to ensure adequate and responsive stock holding. Assising with receiving, unpacking and putting away of medicines in line with good practice and procedures. Maintaining good stock including stock checks, expiry date checks, stock rotation, stock take and appropriate storage of materials and products. Contributing to revenue capture including drug charging. Contributing to clinical governance initiatives in pharmacy including but not limited to review and updating policies and procedures, clinical audit.
