Fixed Term - 12 Months Maternity Cover

 

We are currently looking for a Dispensing Assistant in our Dykes Hall & Burngreave Road, working 37.5 hours per week. Reporting to the Pharmacist Manager. your overall responsibility will be to participate in the whole dispensing process.

 

Working hours:

Based at 158 Dykes Hall Road, Sheffield, S6 4GQ;
Monday 9am till 6.15pm (1hr unpaid break)
Tuesday 8:45am till 6pm (1hr unpaid break)
Thursday 8:45am till 1pm
Friday 8:45am till 6pm (1hr unpaid break)

 

Based at 149 Burngreave Road, Sheffield, S3 9DL;
Wednesday 9am till 6:30pm (1hr unpaid break)

 

The role will also involve establishing and developing long term relationships with customers ensuring to always deliver courteous and effective customer service. You will be required to assist in the delivery of all commercial pharmacy services where appropriate, including blood pressure measuring and weight management.

 

In this role you will be required to complete administrative records, and ensure that these records are adequately maintained. You will effectively manage pharmaceutical stock and equipment, including the administration of receiving, storing, maintaining and issuing. You may be required to deliver healthcare advice and signpost where necessary.

To be employed as a dispensing assistant in Rowlands Pharmacy you need a minimum of an accredited Level 2 certificate in dispensing. Rowlands Pharmacy company policy requires that you also have an accredited Medicine Counter Assistant certificate.  

 

The successful applicant for this role will be required to:

  • Have the appropriate qualifications or;
  • Have a level 2 certificate in dispensing and be willing to be enrolled onto an MCA course on commencement of employment or;
  • Be willing to be enrolled onto training (level 2 dispensing & MCA) on commencement of employment on a trainee pay scale until course completion.
