As part of a major expansion programme, applications are now invited from outstanding individuals for a Senior Lecturer Pharmacy Practice. 

The successful applicant will develop and lead a competitive and world-leading research programme that will complement the ongoing research in the School and across the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Life Sciences (e.g. health services research, pharmacoepidemiology, clinical pharmacy etc). 

He/she will also contribute to cutting-edge educational programmes within the School and provide leadership in innovation in teaching and assessment. If we do not appoint at Senior Lecturer level applications will be considered at Lecturer level. 

The successful candidate will have:

At Senior Lecturer Level:

•  Primary Degree in pharmacy or closely related discipline

•  PhD in pharmacy practice or a closely related discipline

•  Record of high quality publications at an international level of excellence in internationally recognised journals for REF 2021 submission. 

•  Record of successfully obtaining significant research funding or other resources to underpin research, as appropriate to the discipline, through competitive national or international peer-reviewed processes as Principal Investigator.

•  Research profile that is relevant to the research priorities of the School

•  Successful PhD supervision normally as Primary Supervisor

•  Substantial teaching experience at University level.

At Lecturer Level:

•  Primary Degree

•  PhD in pharmacy practice or a closely related discipline

•  A minimum of three years’ research experience at postdoctoral level (in an academic setting or in practice) in pharmacy practice or closely related discipline

•  Recent, relevant publications in peer reviewed/refereed journals that are at recognised internationally as being high quality for REF 2021 submission, commensurate with experience.

•  Research profile which is relevant to the research priorities of the School/Institute

•  Experience of developing research methodologies, models, approaches and techniques

•  Experience of presentations at national and international meetings and conferences

Salary scales: Senior Lecturer: £51,630 - £59,828 per annum (potential to progress to £65,361 per annum through            sustained exceptional contribution)

Lecturer £36,261 - £50,132 per annum (potential to progress to £53,175 per annum through sustained exceptional contribution)
