This is a unique and rare opportunity to work in a key technical advisory role that contributes to the success of the UK’s national immunisation programme, and preparedness programmes for pandemic flu and other emergencies. The post holder will be a key member of the Vaccines & Countermeasures Response Team in Public Health England, providing leadership, expert pharmaceutical advice, support and guidance concerning the UK supply and management of various vaccines, immunoglobulins, antivenoms, antitoxins, antidotes and other medicines held for the national immunisation programme and emergency preparedness stockpiles.
You’ll succeed in this critical role by working collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders including pharmaceutical manufacturers, key delivery partners such as contracted national storage and distribution agents, and Supply Chain Coordination Ltd (formerly the NHS Business Services Authority), as well as colleagues across Government in, Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) and Department of Health & Social Care (DHSC).This is an ideal opportunity for the successful candidate to develop their skills and knowledge and they will be supported in their continuing professional development while in the role. The post also provides an excellent opportunity to work alongside national and international experts in PHE.
