Addaction is an effective and innovative health and social care charity working with adults and young people with problems relating to substance use. We are committed to radically improving people’s chances of getting better, whilst ensuring a focus on reducing harm to individuals, their families and the wider community.

We have excellent opportunities for Non-Medical Prescribers to join our recovery-focussed, multidisciplinary teams in North and North East Lincolnshire. We are looking for excellent team players, keen to work with others in order to make a difference. You will be positive, motivated, enthusiastic and confident. It would be great if you already have experience of prescribing for dependence. However, if you are recently qualified or new to this area of work we would provide training and support to achieve the required competencies. Attitude and commitment are as important as knowledge and ability. You will deliver prescribing clinics for people with drug and alcohol dependency, coordinating the individual’s care package with their Recovery Worker. You will also provide healthcare interventions, particularly BBV vaccinations. Successful candidates will join a vibrant network of prescribers and clinicians within Addaction, contributing to the ongoing development of policy and practice in substance misuse treatment.

The organisation has well-developed clinical governance processes and comprehensive medical, nursing and medicines management structures.

The latter is headed by our Director of Pharmacy, leading a team of pharmacists who support our clinical services. North and North East Lincs have a shared Clinical Lead who oversees the delivery and quality of clinical services and provides clinical support and supervision. Starting salary will be dependent on experience, and we offer a one-off ‘signing-on fee’. Full time or part time hours will be considered. Working hours could be flexible by agreement with the individual and to meet the needs of the service.

We would welcome the opportunity to tell you more about the posts and answer your questions.

Please contact Yvonne Ward, Clinical Lead, on mailto:yvonne.ward@addaction.org.uk or 07967 773146. Closing date 14 July 2019.

We welcome applications from everyone and we value diversity in our workplace.
