“The Ridge PCN is looking for a band 7/8a Senior Clinical Pharmacist to work in our primary care setting.We are comprised of 5 village surgeries, and serve a population of 40,000.We are situated to the south east of Maidstone in the beautiful Mid-Downs area of West Kent.This role will evolve through structured medication reviews and electronic prescribing with a view to become the leader of a team of Clinical Pharmacists in 2023.As such applicants will need to demonstrate motivated and visionary traits well adapted to creating this new aspect of primary care.We are looking for an individual ready to maximise their potential, and of those around them.The emphasis will be on person-centred medicines optimisation for every patient in our network; taking into account treatment goals and priorities of both prescriber and the patient themselves.

Applicants will need to work across our Primary Care Network using electronic prescribing, and with more complex patients face to face.There will be regular and supportive oversight from the Clinical Director of The Ridge PCN. The salary will be up to £41,500 pro-rata, depending on experience. We are looking for a pharmacist to work full time on a permanent basis, although we would consider exceptions upon application.

We would expect all applicants to have clinical experience with patients with complex health needs.We are looking for excellent interpersonal skills and a flexible, kind and common-sense approach to complexity.Additionally, we expect applicants to be committed to keeping up-to-date with developments on medicine use and cost effective prescribing.Previous experience of working in primary care is preferred, but not essential.
