Education supervisor positions are now available at Centre for Pharmacy Postgraduate Education (CPPE).

Focus – Supporting pharmacists and pharmacy technicians as they engage with an 18 month programme on our national learning pathways.

We have exciting and unique opportunities for talented, experienced pharmacy professionals to join the CPPE team supporting pharmacy professionals as they take up new roles. A key part of our work is to offer committed education supervisors to support and guide them in getting the best from their learning. CPPE is looking for new education supervisors to support pharmacy professionals on our Primary Care Pharmacy Education Pathways.

We are recruiting 13 education supervisors, to start on 1 January 2020 in the following areas (number of posts available):

East of England – Cambridge/Hertfordshire (1)

Yorks and Humber (1)

North East (1)

South East – Kent/Sussex/Surrey (1)

North West (2)

South Central (1)

South West – Cornwall (1)

London (3)

West Midlands (1)

East Midlands – Leicester, Northampton, Lincolnshire and Milton Keyes (1)

Our ideal candidates will be great communicators, have experience in facilitating learning and a good understanding of the future of pharmacy and current policy within the NHS.

Describe your strengths, challenges and evidence in the following areas:

  • Developing learning and assessment for pharmacy practitioners 
  • Delivering learning and assessment for pharmacy practitioners 
  • Experience of clinical practice in either general practice or care homes 
  • Managing the learning of others including feedback, support and action/learning planning 
  • Developing and maintaining networks both within pharmacy and multidisciplinary
  • Supporting change and effective time management

We will provide essential training to help you settle in as part of the team and to equip you to lead learning events and provide education supervision. Successful candidates who do not hold a certificate of education or teaching proficiency qualification will be required to complete our education recognition scheme. You will be expected to travel across England to facilitate learning and attend meetings.

Successful candidates will be required to attend a CPPE Induction Day in Manchester in January TBC and a 3 day Facilitation skills residential in late Jan/Feb TBC.
