Managing Director Lancashire Hospitals Services (Pharmacy) Ltd is a new and innovative Company established to provide a pharmacy outpatient dispensing service to patients: currently providing services to Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust patients at Preston, Rosemere Centre and Chorley and South Ribble District General Hospital. The company is wholly owned by Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a Managing Director to take responsibility for the Pharmacy Outpatient Service to patients with a view to improving service standards. As the senior member of the team reporting to the Board you will direct and control the Company’s operations and give strategic guidance and direction to ensure that the company achieves its strategic goals and objectives. Key responsibilities are: Continuous improvement in patient service delivery. Development and execution of the company’s business strategies. Provision of strategic advice to the Board on service provision and future developments including business plan preparation in a changing market place. Ensuring company policies are clearly communicated to all staff and implemented by the service delivery teams. To ensure good relationships with all stakeholders. To ensure sound budgetary control including systematic control of the Company’s Profit and Loss account. Provision of guidance and motivation to ensure maximum performance of staff. Development of recruitment and retention strategy. The ideal candidate will be a strategist/leader and able to ensure continuous improvement in patient service delivery and develop business plans to ensure the future stability of the company. It is anticipated that the role will require approximately 15 hours per week commitment based on the current business model however as the business expands in line with expectations additional hours will be required.
