The Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD) is an Executive Agency of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) and is responsible for ensuring the safety, quality and efficacy of veterinary medicines in the UK within the statutory framework of various EC Directives and Regulations, and the Veterinary Medicines Regulations.
This exciting and interesting job puts you at the heart of authorising animal medicines for the UK market.
You will assess chemistry and pharmacy data submitted in support of applications for the authorisation of pharmaceutical products. Your work plays a major role in assuring the quality and, hence, the safety and efficacy of animal medicines. Your work will significantly contribute to the VMD meeting its published standards.
You must have a degree or equivalent in pharmacy, chemistry, pharmaceutical science or another relevant subject.
We would prefer you to have relevant experience, gained within the pharmaceutical industry and/or within a Regulatory Authority – please see our prospectus for a full job description and more details about what we are looking for.
