Location: The Causeway locality area (North Co. Antrim and Eastern Co. Derry/Londonderry, exact location TBC).
Salary: £34,330 - £36,410* per annum pro rata (under review).

Causeway GP Federation is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company with the purpose of organising the delivery of primary care services in the beautiful Causeway area of Northern Ireland. Causeway GP Federation is looking for General Practice Pharmacists to work as an integral part of GP practice teams to deliver direct patient care and optimise the safety and quality of medicines management. Within these posts, Pharmacists will have access to a range of development opportunities whilst working in a complex, challenging and very rewarding environment.
Job Summary
This is a team role where the post holder will have and will develop clinical pharmacy skills that will improve safety, efficiency, effectiveness, and consistency of prescribing in primary care. All activity will be agreed according to the Federation prescribing action plan and as part of the planning process with the relevant GP practice.
*Starting salary will be determined by professional registration and experience.
**A 12-month waiting list will also be compiled for any subsequent full time/part time permanent/temporary posts which may arise in the Causeway Federation.
Successful applicants can commence employment from 01 September 2020.
Essential Criteria
- Registration with the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland (PSNI) or eligible for membership.
- Undergraduate degree in Pharmacy
- Registered as an Independent Prescriber or be willing to undertake an Independent Prescribing qualification
- Have a minimum of 3 years post – registration experience in pharmacy.
- Hold a full current driving licence and/or* have access to a form of transport which will permit the applicant to meet the requirements of the post in full.
