The Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD) is an Executive Agency of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) and is responsible for ensuring the safety, quality and efficacy of veterinary medicines in the UK.
We have a vacancy for two Grade 7 pharmaceutical assessors in our Quality team based in Addlestone, Surrey.
These exciting and interesting jobs put you at the heart of authorising animal medicines for the UK market. You will assess quality data submitted in support of applications for the authorisation of pharmaceutical products. Your work plays a major role in assuring the quality and, hence, the safety and efficacy of animal medicines. You may manage and develop assessors in the Quality Team. Your work will significantly contribute to the VMD meeting its published standards.
You must have relevant experience gained within the pharmaceutical industry and/or within a Regulatory Authority and dependent on the role, you must have experience (or awareness) of a science strategy or development and/or experience of delivering effective scientific presentations.
You must have a degree or equivalent in pharmacy, chemistry, pharmaceutical science or another relevant subject.
