Superintendent Pharmacist

This is a fantastic opportunity for a community pharmacist to work in a productive environment. If you have the desire to be part of a busy 100 hour community pharmacy then you will be interested in this dual role. You have the chance to make a real impact and difference in the lives of patients. You will have flexibility and autonomy in this role. You will report to the company directors and be responsible as superintendent and dispensing pharmacist. The majority of your time will be hands on pharmacist role, and supervision of support staff. We have been serving the South Bedfordshire community for almost 10 years and are located near the borders of Luton. Dunstable and Houghton Regis with easy access from A5 or M1. We share the premises with Wheatfield Surgery. We thrive in offering a professional friendly service, and expert advice to all in the community.

We are looking for a motivated, and self-driven individual to spearhead the growth and development of our pharmacy service. You will have an excellent opportunity to increase the performance and deliver multiple professional services enabling the individual to put their own stamp on the community they serve.

Job Description:

- overall responsibility of the safe and effective running of the pharmacy.

-manage and train staff including pre-registration trainee pharmacist to the high standard to provide safe service.

-dispense prescription medicines to patients, checking dosage and ensuring that medicines are correctly and safely labelled and supplied.

-oversee the ordering and storage of medical products to ensure safety and reduce waste.

-supervise the safe preparation of any medicine.

Person specification:

- MPharm degree and current and valid GPhC registration and the right to work in UK

-high levels of professional expertise ,excellent business management skills and leadership skills and be a good team player.

- a passion for community pharmacy and provide the best care for our customers.

-ability to work collaboratively with primary care and community health and social care teams to deliver safe and productive service.

-process knowledge of legal and standard operating procedures of a pharmacy and provisions of national and local services.
