Job Details

We are seeking an experienced pharmacist with educational expertise to join our education and membership directorate as the Assessment and Credentialing Lead. You must be passionate about developing and advancing the pharmacist profession and workforce to meet the changing needs of patients and the healthcare system.

The Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) post-registration curricula and assessments have been developed to transform the way post-registration pharmacist practice is defined and assured.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Education & Professional development, you will have the unique opportunity to work collaboratively with senior pharmacy and wider healthcare stakeholders across the UK, leading on the successful implementation, delivery, and continued evaluation of our curricula and assessments. You will be responsible for ensuring RPS curricula and assessments remain fit for purpose and aligned to UK pharmacy workforce policy as well as future patient and service needs. 

Role requirements:

  • Pharmacist registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Postgraduate qualification in education and/or assessment or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrable experience in leading on significant pharmacy workforce and/or education initiatives, preferable on a regional and/or national scale
  • Good understanding of best practices in curriculum and/or assessment design, preferably in the post-graduate or post-registration pharmacy landscape.
  • Good working knowledge of (post-registration) pharmacy practice and education across the devolved nations of the UK.
  • Good understanding of wider UK health and education policy and how these impact the pharmacy profession.
