Location:North West London Position:Lead Clinical Pharmacist Service:General Hospital Salary:Up to £52,300 per annum Hours:Full Time Contract type:12 month fixed term contract About the role: A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Lead Clinical Pharmacist to join a highly reputable private hospital based in North West London. The hospital is ideally located in North West London, within easy reach of public transport links and is close to central London. We are currently looking for a Senior Clinical Pharmacist to join their experienced and friendly pharmacy team providing clinical service to the wards and dispensary.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join a highly reputable private hospital providing service to both inpatients and outpatients of the hospital.

Duties and responsibilities You will be working as a Lead Clinical Pharmacist and responsible for the following;

Visit allocated wards and review inpatient prescription charts checking for clinical correctness Clinically screen and final check in-patient and discharge TTO prescriptions Ordering non-stock medicines for individual patients ensuring continuity of supply Resolve any prescription queries with the prescriber and amend if necessary Participate in dispensary duties such as prescription processing Ensuring appropriate records such as controlled drug registers are maintained To be available to medical, nursing and pharmacy staff to answer queries relating to individual patients and any protocols and policies within the Hospital. To undertake clinical audit projects involving the use of medicines within the Hospital. To identify changes in prescribing practices that may impact on the drugs budget and advise the Chief Pharmacist accordingly. To provide professional, managerial and clinical leadership to all pharmacy staff. To ensure that compliance with legal, ethical and other applicable standards are achieved within the post holder's designated areas of responsibility. Record regularly clinical interventions and activities in line with departmental policy. Attend Multidisciplinary Team Meetings (MDTs) to represent Pharmacy. Attend Policy Practice Group meetings/ Medicines Management Group meetings as required.

Who we're looking for

Registered Pharmacist Eligibility to live and work in the UK GPHC registration with no restrictions At least 2years experience working as a Lead Clinical Pharmacist in the UK Provided medication counselling to patients Ideally working towards or have a Clinical Diploma or Postgraduate qualification
