Pharmacy Lead - SACT - Private Hospital - Guildford - Up to £60,000 - Full time

We are currently seeking a dynamic Pharmacy Lead to join our dedicated team within the Pharmacy Department. This is a full-time position requiring 37.5 hours per week, with a flexible shift schedule.

Pharmacy Lead - SACT Key Requirements: •

Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (M Pharm or B Pharm) or BSc in Pharmacy, with registration on the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician, or inclusion on the General Pharmaceutical Council Pharmacy Technicians register. •

A minimum of 2 years of experience in a UK hospital pharmacy setting, with demonstrated team management and mentoring skills, as well as budget management experience. •

Proficient in organizational and planning abilities, with a focus on risk management. Proven track record of achieving targets in a results-driven environment. •

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effectively engaging with individuals across various levels within the hospital setting. •

Familiarity with General Pharmaceutical Council Codes of Professional Conduct, Ethics, and Performance, along with understanding of Care Standards Act and Care and Quality Commission Requirements.

Pharmacy Lead - SACT Responsibilities: •

Oversee the safe and optimal usage of medications for all patients receiving SACT medication. •

Ensure all prescribing activities are conducted via the Private Hospital Group's electronic software. •

Timely initiation of new protocols as required. •

Advocate for evidence-based medicine and national best practices within the oncology patient demographic. •

Offer expert advice to support medication management, prescribing practices, and clinical use within the oncology facility. •

Inspire and motivate pharmacists and healthcare professionals to take ownership of medicine management services within the oncology unit. •

Participate as a member of the hospital's multidisciplinary oncology team. •

Contribute to the development and implementation of corporate and hospital prescribing guidelines, along with new oncology policies. •

Serve as an educational resource for both staff and patients regarding prescribed medications and their administration within oncology facilities.
