Pharmacist Medical Cannabis Industry

This role is based onsite at Birmingham/West Bromwich and is full-time. Monday to Friday 0900 - 1700.

Our client is an innovative medicinal cannabis clinic with an integrated pharmacy that provides medical cannabis to patients in the UK. A highly anticipated health tech business, its mission is to provide high-quality, safe, and effective cannabis-based medicines to patients in need. They are passionate about improving the quality of life for patients and transforming healthcare through the therapeutic use of medical cannabis. They were founded in 2021 and have over 30 employees. They are now looking to hire a pharmacist to ensure they are continually providing a quality service to their patients.

Responsibilities:

Screening, checking and dispensing prescriptions. Receiving controlled drugs stock into the electronic CD register Leading the team in delivering all daily tasks including aiding the dispensary staff with dispensing Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to provide the highest standard of care. (We have over 8 specialist register doctors in our CQC Clinic). Participate in continuous professional development and training sessions. Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, including patient confidentiality and data security. Assist in the creation and implementation of patient educational material about medical cannabis.

What we’re looking for:

GPhC Registration Extremely knowledgeable in regards to controlled medications Current or recent experience of working as a Pharmacist or Dispensary Manager Meticulous and thorough approach to working Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages Knowledge or interest in medical cannabis legislation and prescribing guidelines in the UK. Demonstrated commitment to patient care and medical excellence.

Desirable:

Strong knowledge of treatments for Pain and Mental health illness (depression, Insomnia) Experience with either Specials / Unlicensed medications / Medical Cannabis Knowledge & interest in Cannabis-based medicines.
