Role: Senior Specialist Clinical Pharmacist (Acute Care and Oncology) Location: The Harborne Hospital, Birmingham Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday with requirements to cover some weekends (however if you are interested in working part time, or across term time, we can discuss this opportunity with you also)
Contract Type: Permanent Salary: Competitive (dependent on skills & experience), on-calls/weekend shifts will be paid in addition to the base salary
We’re looking for a Senior Specialist Clinical Pharmacist (Acute Care and Oncology) to join our Pharmacy team at The Harborne Hospital.

About the facility
The Harborne Hospital - part of HCA Healthcare UK is a brand new £100million, purpose built 50 bed, multi-speciality private hospital. Located on the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham campus, the hospital will have the deep clinical infrastructure, equipment and facilities and expert, experienced teams to deliver full clinical pathways across a mix of specialties and sub-specialties at all levels of complexity including Cardiology, Cancer and Complex Surgery including robotics with the latest Da Vinci XI. The Harborne Hospital is the 4th NHS partnership within this network, partnering with University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Trust.
Job Description
The post holder will support the delivery and evaluation of clinical pharmacy services to all Oncology services at The Harborne Hospital.
They will provide a high quality clinical pharmacy service which meets the needs of patients and healthcare professionals.
The post-holder will also ideally have experience in Oncology Services, who is motivated, proactive and can contribute to the development and growth of the pharmacy department.
They will support the implementation of medicine management systems concerned with Oncology and Acute Care services at.
The post holder will provide a specialist clinical pharmacy service to Oncology and Acute services.
They will act as a role model in the oncology pharmacy field and undertake clinical supervision of pharmacy staff and teaching of nursing and medical staff.
The post holder is professionally accountable for any pharmacy function for which they assume responsibility.

What you’ll bring:
Member of the General Pharmaceutical Council, with a BPharm, MPharm or BSC in Pharmacy
Additional postgraduate clinical qualification e.g. Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or other relevant post-graduation qualification
Extensive hospital experience essential
Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society is desirable
Experience in a clinical specialist area - e.g. Oncology and Acute Medicine is highly desirable
