We are currently looking for a Pharmaceutical Assessor to join our Reclassification Team within the Healthcare Quality and Access group.

Within a week of working here, your day could look like this: carrying out the assessment of reclassification applications, making appropriate recommendations and decisions in line with the protection of public health.  Preparing and presenting objective assessments or other scientific papers to expert advisory bodies.

The successful candidate will have Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate team-working, consulting and co-operating with colleagues from different disciplines and with variable degrees of expertise.  Ability to write authoritative reports; good verbal communication and presentational skills used to influence internal and external issues and to disseminate advice to stakeholders as appropriate.

  • Proven ability to work independently and effectively to critically analyse data from a number of sources and make appropriate recommendations or decisions to protect public health.
  • Degree in pharmacy and registration with the GPhC (or eligible to be registered with the GPhC) and relevant professional experience or a clinically relevant scientific degree with in-depth knowledge/experience of non-prescription medicines.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and procedures relevant to non-prescription medicines and reclassification of medicines in the UK.
