Pharmacy Lead - SACT
Key Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (MPharm or BPharm) or BSc in Pharmacy Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician Minimum of 2 years of experience in a UK hospital pharmacy setting Proven team management, mentoring, and budget management skills Strong organizational, planning, and risk management abilities Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Knowledge of GPhC Codes of Conduct, Care Standards Act, and CQC Requirements Pharmacy Lead - SACT Responsibilities:
Oversee the safe and optimal use of medications for SACT patients Ensure all prescribing activities use the hospital's electronic software Timely initiation of new protocols Advocate evidence-based medicine and best practices in oncology Provide expert advice on medication management and prescribing Inspire and motivate the pharmacy team in the oncology unit Participate in the hospital's multidisciplinary oncology team Develop and implement prescribing guidelines and oncology policies Educate staff and patients on prescribed medications and their administration Salary & Benefits:
•
25 days of annual leave per year, plus bank holidays, with an increase to 30 days based on service length. •
