Lead Pharmacist - Private Hospital
Location:Banbury Position:Lead Pharmacist Service:General Hospital Care:Pharmacy Salary:£50,000 - £55,500 per annum - negotiable depending on experience Hours:Full-time 37.5 hours Contract type:Permanent
About the hospital:
We are delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Lead Pharmacist to join a highly reputable private healthcare provider in their exceptional private hospital on the outskirts of Oxford. The hospital is ideally located within easy reach of Leamington Spa, Northampton, and Oxford. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic Lead Pharmacist to lead a motivated and friendly team. The hospital undertakes a range of procedures including orthopaedic, urological, cosmetic, spinal, gynaecological and general surgical procedures. The Pharmacy team are passionate about the high-quality care they provide, and we are looking for a driven Lead Pharmacist to lead the team permanently.
Duties and responsibilities:
You will be working as a Lead Pharmacist and will be responsible for:
Lead a team delivering a patient- centred clinical pharmacy and medicines optimisation service Provide support across two hospitals Support the efficient procurement of medicines Be responsible for responding to fluctuations in supply chain and any issues that arise Contribute towards providing improvements through audit outcomes and quality improvement programmes Contribute to the local governance agenda Provide support to the team by providing education and training on medicines
Who we're looking for
Be GPHC registered - your pin must not have any restrictions or conditions Eligibility to live and work in the UK At least 3years UK experience post-graduation within a hospital setting Independent Prescriber and management qualification desirable Experience of clinical leadership is essential Ability to train and motivate staff
