Clinical Pharmacist - NHS Hospital in Sussex
Location: Sussex, NHS Hospital Hourly Rate: £28 - £31 per hour Agency: Hunter AHP
Hunter AHP is excited to offer an excellent opportunity for a Clinical Pharmacist to join a leading NHS Hospital in Sussex. This is a fantastic role for a skilled and motivated Clinical Pharmacist who is passionate about patient care and working within a dynamic hospital setting. Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert clinical pharmacy services across various hospital departments, including inpatient and outpatient settings. Conduct medication reviews, ensuring safe, effective, and evidence-based drug therapy for all patients. Work closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimise medication regimens and improve patient outcomes. Undertake clinical checks and participate in ward rounds to offer pharmacological advice and guidance. Support the prescribing and dispensing process for complex patients, including those with chronic conditions, critical care needs, and complex medication regimens. Provide education and training to other healthcare professionals on safe and effective medication use. Participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives to maintain high standards of pharmaceutical care. Ensure compliance with NHS policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
GPhC registration (essential). Experience as a Clinical Pharmacist within the NHS or hospital setting (preferred). Strong clinical knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics, and medicine management in an acute care setting. Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Ability to assess and review complex medication regimens and make evidence-based recommendations. A commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining current knowledge of clinical guidelines and best practices.
