Job Opportunity: Hybrid - Locum Pharmacist - GP Surgery (Kent)
We are currently seeking a Locum Pharmacist to join a well-established GP surgery in Kent for an exciting opportunity!
No prior GP Surgery experience is required for this post, you do NOT need to be a qualified Independent Prescriber! Training can be given here....
Role Details:
Duration: 9-12 months (starting ASAP, December 2024) Work Schedule: 2-3 days per week (weekdays) There is the option for 1 day remote and the remaining 1-2 days onsite. You can also choose your own days to work!
Pay rate: £25 - £35 per hour, depending on experience
Responsibilities:
Conducting medication reviews for patients, both in-person and remotely Reviewing patient medication records to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of prescribed drugs Identifying potential drug interactions, side effects, or any issues with the patient’s medication regimen Communicating with patients to assess their understanding and adherence to prescribed medications Making recommendations to optimize drug therapy, including the deprescribing of unnecessary medications where appropriate Collaborating with GPs and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best patient outcomes Documenting all reviews and outcomes in the patient records Providing advice and education to patients on proper medication usage and self-management of chronic conditions
Additional Role Information:
