Exciting Opportunity:B6-B7 Locum Pharmacist required - Prison, Bedford (Starting December 1st)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a B6-B7 Pharmacist to join the dispensary team at a prison service near Bedfordshire starting from 1st December. This is an excellent chance for a pharmacist to gain unique and valuable experience working within a prison setting. Community Pharmacists welcome to apply, as training will be given.
Role Details:
Position: B6-B7 Locum Pharmacist Location: Bedfordshire Start Date: 1st December Contract Duration: Ongoing for a minimum of 3 months Pay Rate: £23 - £31 per hour (paid via PAYE Direct Engagement) depending on experience and banding Candidate Requirements:
Prison Clearance: Ideally, the successful candidate will already have prison clearance. However, if not, the candidate will need to apply for clearance, and prison security will be contacted to make an exception for the role if necessary. Experience: This role is particularly suited for someone who has not previously worked in a prison environment and is looking to expand their professional skillset in a unique setting. Key Responsibilities:
Provide pharmaceutical care and advice to the prison population. Dispensary based role. Ensure safe and effective use of medications. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care. Contribute to the delivery of high-quality pharmacy services within the prison setting. This is a great opportunity for pharmacists looking to enhance their experience while making a meaningful impact within the healthcare service for incarcerated individuals.
